The Berry Garden

The Berry Garden is one of the more productive areas within the Reverie, combining edible planting with ecological value.

A variety of currants, gooseberries and raspberries grow here alongside honeyberries and fruit trees, creating a layered garden where flowering, fruiting and wildlife activity overlap throughout the seasons.

 

In early spring the shrubs provide nectar for bees and other pollinators. As the season progresses, the garden gradually fills with ripening berries. Some are harvested for the kitchen, while others are intentionally left for birds that visit the garden throughout the summer.

 

Blackberries are trained along a nearby hedge in full sun, where they are allowed to grow taller and produce abundant fruit.

Together these plantings create a garden where seasonal harvest, wildlife and everyday gardening naturally meet.
